Landlords have their own rules set for each tenant. Some come as strict, other might be the opposite. But as a renter, you should know how to manage and obey these ground rules, so there will be no issue to arise later on. If you are a landlord or a renter, then you may have encountered some of these common rules in renting a flat or an apartment: 1. PAY ON TIME
Landlords are concerned about when exactly you pay your rent because apartments and rentals are their business. As you work hard on to pay the rent, the make sure that there are enough funds to cover them in case you have not. The due date is sacred because you can be penalized if you are late in paying. Most landlords charged an additional five to 10 percent of the total amount of rental fee for every late payment. 2. FOLLOW THE GARBAGE COLLECTION SCHEDULE There is a strict rule when it comes to garbage collection and segregation. Landlords are very particular when it comes to these things because they are after maintaining the cleanliness of their property and those that are in its vicinity. 3. MIND THE CLEANLINESS If you are renting, following the rules are a must. If you are not a neat person then maybe you can start with being one especially if you have encountered a landlord that is strict when it comes to cleanliness. It is very important to keep the area clean by other tenants as well. 4. NO PETS ARE ALLOWED Pets are fun to have. They act like your best friends especially if you are living solo. But, a lot of landlords do not allow pets in their apartments. It is because they want to maintain the cleanliness and the peacefulness of their property. Some pets are noisy and may distract other tenants especially those who have children or babies. 5. AVOID DAMAGING THE FIXTURES Fixtures are solely on the landlord. They are the ones who maintained each apartment or rooms for rental. In line with this, they appreciate it if you do not cut a hole in the walls or drill some frames that are not approved by the management. It is so it can still look good and presentable for the next tenant after you. Landlords can be strict, but they are just doing it for the protection of their tenants. More so, they follow the landlord and homeowners’ rules and regulations to protect further not just their property but also people renting on them.
